Why We Built This Site
Maryland gives the public access to many judicial records, but Garrett County records do not all sit behind one counter. The Clerk of the Circuit Court handles Circuit Court filings, certified copies, marriage licenses, land records, business licenses, oaths, and notary commissions. The District Court of Maryland for Garrett County handles traffic, landlord-tenant, small civil, misdemeanor, and certain felony matters. Probate estate administration runs through the Register of Wills and the Orphans' Court, while jail, arrest-log, and law-enforcement records come from the Garrett County Sheriff's Office.
